What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? mi. i have sole custody of my 4 year old son.he was in a auto accident and was awarded $180.000 which is to be put in a trust fund for when he is older.no one can touch that money but him, witch is what i wanted.the problem is while we wait for probate court {formality} i've come into some money problems & i need roughly $9000 to get our problems solved in order to take proper care of my son.he is not disabled [no attendent care] they've ok'yd 5000 havent asked for more yet. court date coming soon.

he wants to know if he can raid his kid's trust fund to pay off his personal debts...
