need legal advice asapWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Virginia My question is can a lawyer get the courts to produce paper work-saying whether or not my sister gave up her legal rights to her child, note sister was killed in car crash out of state- hasnt seen child-sine child was given to grandmother at one year of age, I know that sister and grandmother went to court, but I dont know for sure if sister gave legal rights over to grandmother. How can I get this paper owrk, I cant find the child, when i called numerous courts , they stated they could not give info to me. also I think this child in now aprox 23 years of age, but cant locate.
