Need to settle?

What is the name of your state? Illinois

I have a PI case in which my ex-spouse is claiming that I tried to harm her. We had an accidental fire in our home.

Previous attempts to settle have led no where. I pursued a Ch13 BK, the Judge ruled in her favor and seemed inclined to believe that my actions were intentional.

I can post more details but my question is - in previous pre-trials the Judge seemed inclined to think that a certain figure (to settle)was a fair result. I have the feeling that I may face more exposure in a trial setting. What if I were to "not show"{ allowing her to get a judgement thereby allowing the Judge to come up with an award figure rather than a jury. Any feedback?

You are 110% correct. If you no show, a default judgment will be rendered against you.

There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!
