Neighbor's slip and fall

A pregnant neighbor slipped on ice on the street, not the sidewalk of her neighborhood. She has filed a $1,000,000 suit against her next door neighbor claiming she slipped in front of her house. There are witnesses to testify that they saw her slip and helped pick her up from the street. The neighbor's insurance only covers $500,000. I would think the witnesses will disprove her claim but let's say there were no witnesses and the suit went through, does the neighbor lose her house?

You're jumping way ahead. There is no merit to this case. If it's icy, the person should have been more careful. Your neighbor isn't liable for Mother Nature making it cold and creating ice.
