| Online school dropped me; lost time/money I'm a straight-A graduate student who recently transferred to a new school (i.e. NEC) in order to save time/credits. I was able to transfer two classes and flagged the first two that I completed at NEC. In the third class, I noticed that the typical administrative chaos was appearing, once again. Also, students were not following APA rules (i.e. not using and/or citing references) and simply mocking (i.e. bad grammar; sentence structure; spelling) the English language. In addition, students were essentially paraphrasing the questions, instead of providing solutions. The instructor commentaries in the discussion forum uniformly patted each contribution, whether they were right or wrong.
I'm a trained esoterist. I parse everything and objectively offer my opinion, if requested. In this case, we have to comment on at least two other posts in class. In one of my reviews, I was told not to criticise other posts. I objected vehemently in a written communication addressed to the instructor, explaining that there are many sides to everything.
Interestingly, the last communication I received from an instructor thanked me for my leadership in class. In addition, many of the students in my group (i.e. project) thanked me for my leadership role as group leader.
Ultimately, I was dropped from my class and the program. The Dean of the school has yet to tell me why? I won't be able to transfer the classes I completed at NEC. Ergo, I wasted thousands of dollars and 7 months of my time. Initially, I told the school that the reason I was transferring into NEC was to lessen my time 'till graduation and save money. Now, it will take me much longer to graduate and I've effectively allowed them to squander many thousands of dollars of my money during economic straits.
Can I post this situation up on a complaints board? I believe that my assertions are honest and valid. However, I don't want anything coming back at me.
Should I pursue this situation?
