pedestrian hit

What is the name of your state? california
My daughter and I were both hit by a van while we were crossing the street. We sustained soft tissue injurys (and bruises/contusions) and had chiropractic care for about two months. The insurance (of the person liable) has offered me a third offer of $7000-just for my case. My daughter is seeing a cousnelor for post traumatic stress disorder, so hers will take a while longer. My medical bills come out to $5341.00 and my lawyer doesn't think I could get anymore. I wanted to pusue court but he says I could wind up with nothing. Do you think I could get more if I took it to court or just settle?

There is no way anyone here can answer that. That is a personal decision that you should make based on consultation with your attorney.

Your attorney is familiar with your case and the courts you would have to go through. If he says court is probably not worth it, he's probably right.

You can always get a second opinion from another attorney, but you're best move is to take his advice

Thumbs up

Re:Pedestrian hit

Tough decision is on hand.
Best, you must consider all your options in best lights and gladly choose which alternative could be viable.
You consider finding a second opinion with another Attorney.
By doing so, you can have clear perspective of your predicaments, laid down all your options and ultimately, arrive at a sound decision.

soft tissue damage doesn't get a high settlement, $7,000 is just about right. You could ask for the $7k plus medical.
