Personal Injury

What is the name of your state? California

Back in August 2007 I was renting a cottage behind a large house on a ranch. The bedroom and bathroom were upstairs. The upper half on the stairs didn't have a handrail. I have several pictures of my cottage including the stairs and the mark on the wall where my knee hit.

I was at the top of the stairs putting clothes in the hamper when I feel approximately 8 stairs on the middle landing. I tore my ACL, MCL and broke my tibia. Surgery has not yet been performed. I still have a lot of pain and I now have a limp.

No one was there and I didn't have my telephone with me. After about an hour the landlord's daughter came to feed the horse and I scream for help. She was there when the EMTs came and took me to the hospital.

I wasn't concerned about this since I thought I had medical coverage. Come to find out I didn't and now approximately $5,000 has been turned over the a collection agency.

Any help you can provide would be very helpful. Thank you in advance.

You asked no question but if your question is, "Have I won the lawsuit lottery?" then the answer is no.

You can't sue someone for your own clumsiness.
