Personal Injury CaseWhat is the name of your state? Illinos I'm currently involved in a personal injury case that has been going on for almost a year. I recently contacted my lawyer regarding the status of the case and his response by email was that he was mediating the lead case this month. He also said that he hopes it will set a example for my case as well as the others that had the same personal injury. I tried to email/call him again to find out what that exactly means but he will be out of the office for the next week and a half. I'm confused does that mean they are going to court in that case? His previous response to me was that it would be a long protracted litigation but now he is saying mediating. What is the difference? Thanks for any help I can get on this. |

| mediation is a form of settlement negotiations involving a mediator. The mediator helps negotiate a settlement, if possible.
