Possible Assualt Charge? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Washington DC. About a year ago, I was injured while leaving a club in the Adams Morgan area of Washington DC. A friend and I were leaving when I was knocked down from behind by an individual who was running from the police. I recieved lacerations from the fall and had to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance. My friend actually chased after the guy and managed to hold him down until the police arrived. I never did get his name but I know he was arrested. My question is simply do I have enough to press any sort of charges against him? My hospital bills were very expensive not to mention I received 12 staples in my head. Is this sort of case a personal inury case or is a Tort? What can I do to recieve compenstation for damages? Also, I am no longer a resident of Washington DC. I now live in Texas. I am in the military. |

| What makes you think he wasn't charged?
