punch in face


What is the name of your state? florida

i was at a bus stop, guy comes up and punches me in the face, tell me he will kill me next time, that i stole his dope 4 years ago.?? i had him arrested, do i have grounds to sue him for injuries,>? that is assult and battery,.?

Yes, you definitely have grounds to sue him for common law battery (and maybe assault as well). Because it was an intentional tort, you could be awarded both compensatory and punitive damages.

Keep in mind that you may not be awarded much, and collecting could be impossible.

You can sue him...it would be worthless though, a waste of time and money
