Sidewalk raised caused me too fall

What is the name of your state?What is the name of your state?What is the name of your state?Ohio, I was walking my kid home from school carrying her in my arms when a raised sidewalk crack caused me to trip and fall on to my shoulder treaing all the liagments and tendons off the bone in my shoulder. I am in a sling until I see the orthopedic to asset all damage done. I did go to the er. I am wondering do I need to file a police accident report so that the city or homeowner helps with the bills and costs of this painful fall. And who is responsible for the sidewalk the city or homeowner? Thank you for reading and/or your reply.

It could be both are liable to you. However, that depends on a few things, like how much was the separation, and what do your Municipal Codes say about homeowner responsibility for the maintenance of the sidewalk?

See a personal injury attorney. At the very least, you'll need to serve a "Tort Claim" against the city, and you don't have much time to do that.
