Slander/Libel/Defamation?

What is the name of your state? PA

A person who is involved in the same sport/hobby has been ending emails to other involved in the sport/hobby telling them that a particular person is a negative influence, has broken code of ethics of the club. She has made such comments to important, infuential people within the sport/hobby to the point that it is affecting sales and the target is being avoided and shunned. Portions of what is being said is BASED on truth, most of it is personal vendett based. What can be done to stop this person from continuing to make such comments?

My response:

Since you have stated no facts; e.g., actual statements, then nothing short of litigation will stop her.

There are thousands of posts similar to yours so I have prepared a standard answer:

Get a lawyer.

Invest $20K and three years.

Sue the bad people for defamation.

If you win, expect them to keep doing it.

If you lose, expect them to keep doing it.

Stand by for other opinions.
