sliced hand at storeWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MASSACHUSETTES I was about to pick up a candle at a store and the candle next to it was broken and I sliced my hand. The store employees saw what happened and took away the broken candle and gave me a bandage. I went to hospital and needed 5 stitches. My question is...Do I self-pay and then go after the store to pay or do I present the bill to the store? Also, am I entitled to pain and suffering? Thank-youWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? |

| Why do you think the store is liable?

| yeah you are going to have to pay that bill unless you can prove that 1) the store intentionally put a broken candle there to harm you, or 2) they knew it was there and failed to clean it up, remove it, or warn you, or 3) it was there in that condition for so long that the store should have known it was there. |
