Slip and fall accident advice.Hello. I am in Illinois and my wife (who is 7 months pregnant) fell at Sam's Club over the weekend on a wet floor that had no sign by it. There was a pipe either sweating or leaking from the roof and dripping down on the floor. She filled out an incident report and has since gone to the doctor. Everything is fine with the baby but now she has been experiencing really bad back pains. Sam's Club said their insurance company would be in touch with us by the end of this week. I spoke with a lawyer and he said they will make an offer. What I didn't ask him is what exactly would be a fair offer. Can anyone clue me in on what I should expect? Thanks so much! |

| No idea until its known how much treatment your wife will need and whether her injury eventually resolves or if she will have permanent damage. Since it's not known whether she will need more treatment, it's too soon to be entertaining any settlement offers. Back pain is of course expected in somone 7 months pregnant but the fall can't have helped.
