Question

slip-fall happened in CA; now in FL; 2 yrs anniv coming up

What is the name of your state? CA (is where accident happened)

FL is where I live now

almost 2 years ago fell down unrepaired, damaged/dry rot/crumbling steps in house i was renting in LA and shortly thereafter moved to diff state (from CA to FL)

thought that I had no recourse but heard that statue of limitations may be 2 years and can live in diff state than original injury ... have had unremitting unrelenting chronic pain/difficulties; can't work, etc

is this a case that someone in CA (or FL) or wherever can successfully litigate?

PS: i tried to submit this via the form on attorneypages.com but repeatedly got server error.

Did you know that the steps were broken at the time you fell?

If you knew that the steps were dangerous, yet continued to use them, that puts you at least partially responsible. Do you have proof that you or anyone else in the building complained to your landlord about them, or any proof at all that the landlord knew the steps were faulty?

and there is a lot more evidence needed such as doctor reports of the injury, photos of the steps, inspection reports etc.
