Son Bullied at SchoolWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York I have no experience or knowledge with law, so I am unsure if this is the correct place to post this. My son has been picked on at his catholic elementary school for the past few years. The bullying recently became physical on Wednesday, September 30th, when after giving him several "flat tires", my son gave another student one. The other student proceeded to kick my son in the face, giving him a bloody nose until 7:00 that night. Not only did the school not call an ambulance to have him checked on, they also didn't call either my husband or I to notify us of the incident. When my husband called the principal it took her several times to answer him, and when she did she had no intention of punishing the boy. After speaking with my husband she gave him in school suspension for one day, and my son a written warning for retaliating at the boy with a "flat tire." I would like to know if I am being an over protective mother or if I have a case here. Thank you in advance. |

| honestly, i think you WOULD have had a case, had your son not giving the other child a flat tire. at least not as strong. when you were contacted, did you take your child to the hospital? file a police report? |

| You can sue the boy and his family for your son's injuries and medical treatment If your son's 'flat tire' caused the boy any injury, they can of course sue you.

| it's when you step on the back of the shoe on the person walking on front of you, causing the person's foot to fall out. sometimes it causes the person to trip and fall. or maybe i'm just too clumsy. ![]() |
