Struck in head with beer bottle

What is the name of your state? Illinois

The incident happened in Illinois but I live in Missouri.

We were getting ready to leave a bar when an unidentified man walked by and "stiff shouldered" me. Apparently this guy was looking for trouble. My friend told me that I turned and said "excuse you". The man then turned and said something back (he doesn't remember exactly). My friend then said "Let's get out of here." As we turned to walk towards the door, the unidentified man blind-sided me with a beer bottle in the forehead. I have no recollection of the events due to the blow to the head. After I was hit with the bottle, the man then jumped on top of me to continue hitting me. I was told that I then was able to defend myself and ended up on top of the man when the fight was broken up. My friend told me that his nose was bleeding after the scuffle on the floor. There was no attempt by the security personnal to get our side of the story and we were escorted out of the establishment. (I have two witnesses, one was the limo driver....this was a bacholer party.) The police were not called and neither was an ambulance. The other man was not escorted from the establishment. I had a CT scan at the hospital and I have a skull fracture. It is now 8 days later and I still have blood coming from my sinus cavity. I contacted the establishment 7 days ago and talked to a supervisor. He told me that he was going to investigate. I have not heard back from him. I believe that they are covering for the man that hit me. My head still hurts, all I want to do is sleep all the time since this event and as of this morning I still had blood in my mucus. Not to mention more CT scans coming up and follow up appointments. Is there anything that I can do?? I've never had this happen and I don't know what my rights are.

The man is "unidentified". That means that we don't know who he is.

File a police report. Sorry your hurt. Are you saying no one wants to identify him or no one saw him? Just because you don't know his name doesn't mean he can never be identified. Ask the police for help.

That doesn't change my answer.
