Exclamation

tripped up at the night club

What is the name of your state? Iowa
While walking through a crowded room, I am suddenly falling face first , after stumbling over a set of stairs in the middle of the room, which was completely hidden by all the people standing around and dancing. I severely chipped my front tooth in the fall. Is the nightclub liable to help me cover the costs of dental repair?

we'll get those orange cones, barricades with the flashing yellow lights and the caution tape out there right away.

Please don;t sue us because you did not see a set of stairs. Even though the foot or so difference in height from one person to the next didn't seem a bit odd to you (especially since all the short people were on one side of the room and all the tall people were on the other side of the room) we can understand how you would misinterpret those visual clues. What would you have us do to warn you next time?

We are looking to hire a guy just to stand there and tell people, "watch out for the steps" pretty soon but it is hard to find somebody of the caliber we require. It is a hard job and we want the best man for it.

So tell us, what did the bar do that was negligent and would make them liable for your actions?

A: As JAL pointed out, we need to know why you would think the night club is liable?

I believe the poster should talk to a personal injury attorney quickly.

The night club potentially has premises liability.

1) Stair or step-downs must me safe and conform to standards, esp. in a business.
2) The club's failure to regulate safe occupancy (overcrowded)
