Two people assaulted

What is the name of your state? INDIANA

My son was beaten up by a group of guys while at friends house. Girlfriend that was never in the house and sitting in the car had a bottle thrown at her car shattering her window and hitting her in the eye. They drove to a safe place to call police.

Police would not do anything! Would not go to the house because son didn't know address. He told them he would show them the house, glass, his blood and his belongings that fell out of his pocket were there. Threatened to take son to jail because he was getting irate with them for not going to the house.

They put both of them in an ambulance. Son got stitches in his head, girl has stitches all the way around her eye and a fractured eye socket that will have to be repaired.

After son and girl got out of hospital, husband went back to where the car was, called police again. They came back went to house, no one would answer the door. Police say they can't do anything else. They need to go to prosecutor.

Where and what do we do?
Thanks for any replies. What is the name of your state?
