University Bus Accident

Iowa - My fiancé was involved in a bus accident at a state university. One bus hit a second bus (provided by the University) and caused major injury to my fiancé. She hit her head on the window of the bus, complained of upper respiratory and back pain, and is now attending therapy for severe damage to her knee.

We are looking for a lawyer to help us fight a tort claim against the state (since the University is state funded). Can someone comment as to the extent of our claim, how much we should ask for, and recommend a good lawyer in our area (Bettendorf, IA).

Thank you!

Our claim? You have no dog in this fight, it is between your fiance and those liable. Only your fiance and her attorney can determine the extent of her claim. It would take a full review of her medical records.

You, nothing. Your fiance $327.44. Better yet, this is something to discuss with her attorney.

You don't have a lot of friends in life do you. Your post came off as rude.

I'm writing in a fashion to help my fiancé and no I won't be an active participant any in case she may end up in. Your post was basically a waste of my, and everyone Else's time, so why post?

In any case, I'm looking for someone to answer on whether she has a case or not and how successful would a tort case be, on average, against a state/university of this type?

I answered your post. She needs an attorney, preferrably a personal injury attorney. And don't get your panties all twisted, dealing the legal issues is not for the nice. Except for my apparent lame attempt at some humor in your second question, all your basic questions have been answered. There is no way that a bunch of strangers can tell you how successfull such a case will turn out, we don't have access to all the information required to answer such a question.
