What to do!!

I went to a Salon and got my hair trimmed. After the trim she styled my hair, while styling she burned my head 3 times with the straightner. I called the manager the next day she never got back with me so I called their corporate office. They sent me a refund check. After I sent them a letter stating what happened they offered me $100 and a $50 gift card. I then sent them two pictures of the burns; they then offered me $300 and a $50 gift card. They said with no medical documentation that is all they can offer me. Should I take their offer?

With no medical documentation, what you're being offered is a GIFT, take it before they change their minds.

What were your actual damages such as doctors bill, medications, etc. If you didn't seek medical treatment for the burns then you've not suffered any damages. If that is the case I would suggest accepting the offer. However, if you've actually paid out money for damages, then ask that they pay all of the medical bills and give them the proof.

I didn't see a Doctor for my burns. I just didn't think that they could do anything. The burns were about two inches long and there were three of them. I just had pictures of them and a very long statement on what took place that day.

Then take the offer. If you don't have any medical documentation concerning the burns and you didn't spend any money out of pocket, then you don't have a suit against them. Take the offer, chalk it up as an accident or inexperience, and use the certificate for future use with a different stylist.

When you posted your thread you deleted the question: "What is the name of your state (US LAW ONLY).

By doing that we ASSume that you are not in the US...

When someone fails to follow the rules of this site by refusing to post their state, some assume it is because they are not in the US. Whether you are or not, you didn't follow the rules.

You have no damages and do not deserve ANYTHING beyond the refund (and even that is questionable), so consider yourself extremely lucky and go buy yourself a new pair of shoes.

Take the offer and if it hasn't healed up yet, go to see a doctor and ask him about some silver sulfadiazine cream to help reduce the burn scars. The $300 they offered you should just about cover the cream if that is what your doctor ends up recommending.
