what to do after settlement has been made

What is the name of your state?La. A month ago I made a settlement through my attorney with an insurance co. They had 30 days to come up with a settlement. It has been 38 days and no $. Their attorney's are trying to contact them and no reply. They will not get off settlement that they agreed to. What can be done? My attorney is filing a motion to force pay. What will this do and how long is the process? Can they be penalized for going over the promised thirty days?

If you have an attorney, why aren't you asking them these questions? They're much more familiar with your case than anyone here, and it's what you're paying them for...

la. hey teflon, I have called several times to my attorney and have no straight answer. that is why I am asking you guys if you knew any different.
