What do you mean "did a rebirth" with your child?

How old is your child and exactly what happened and when

this is actually very alarming.

OP, what class was this for? how old is your child? despite that I disagree with this type of therapy for a child, this is supposed to be done with a therapists.

i think it's one of the worst things in therapy i have ever heard of. i first heard about it on a Law & Order SVU episode. it's actually banned in a few states, CO being one of them.

it's where a therapist re-enacts the birth of the child wrapping the child in a blanket so tight they usually can't breathe, apply pressure to make it difficult, and pretty much the child has to fight his/her way out of the wrappy simulating a birth. meanwhile the parent/s "catch" the child coming out. it's supposed to be recreating a trust issue in some instances.

*gag*, i found a few youtube videos on this, but i'm too freaked out to even take a look.

So you're saying that someone basically ties up your kid and watches them struggle???

You have got to be kidding me. OP why didn't you call the police???

Pretty much, Any. It's horrifying. Kids have died from it in real life, hence where Law & Order got the inspiration.

Besides criminal charges, I would suggest OP find a COMPETENT therapist for the child, one experienced with children with post-traumatic stress symptoms. The sooner she gets treatment, the more likely she will make a complete recovery.
