What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida

A man determined to be organically neurologically impaired due to car accident and numerous mental illnesses was allowed to confess to crime he did not commit after being held for 3 days. He referred to his documentation prior to the confession but was ignored. The 1st Judicial Circuit State Attorney PERSONALLY got his confession, off the record and built a murder case which imprisoned 7 others based off this man's testimony. He died in prison 6 years later of throat cancer and malnourishment due to lack of proper care. The family wants to sue.

They may wish to consult with an attorney to see if they are even within the time limit for such a suit. (I don't think they are)
