| dear legal advice, 20 years ago my neighbor and my ex husband bartered a deal between property and a old used truck. The neighbor wanted to grow a squash patch which needed to spread out and did not have proper space. My ex husband needed a truck and the the squash man had one extra. Here is the deal a thin line of property ex- tending the full length of 80 acres so as to grow a bigger garden in exchange for the truck and 200dollars from squash man. At the time I was not happy with the deal and the ex said "look it's only a few feet the length of the 80. A note was signed between the ex and squash man. I am divorded and remarried for 15 years The neighbor sold his property 8-9 years ago. He now says he wants title to his 2 acres which he feels is anywhere he wants it or 1000.00 dollars or he's taking us to court. We have simply asked he and his lawyer to show us a copy of the agreement signed 20 years ago and we will go from there. The very hostle squash man called me yelling he's taking us to court and does not have to show us anything. What to do he is making up stories on where the 2 acres are I remember the agreement and he says he needs a place to store his junk cars. I remember the agreement and it was maybe 12 to 16 ft. over his line. Lands have have both changed owners. He won't produce the paper is calling drunk and screaming at me that he will see me in court. My husband will be handling this and is at work so I am wondering if and what we should do help and thank you in advance for your help. sincerely patricialezlie@iwon.com. n9176 lakeside rd trego, wi 54888 715 466-2952 [Edited by patricialezlie@iwon.com on 05-23-2001 at 07:35 PM] |
