I bought a home thourgh the HUD program and the house has abestos. We where not aware of this and we never would have known if we weren't trying to do some home improvement. we were told about the lead paint but that all. Is there angthing be done about this legally?

How old is the property, what HUD program, were there real estate agents involved, did the Seller provide a property condition disclosure statement, how do you know that the home contains asbestos, what kind of home improvements are you doing, are you using a contractor?????
