I am from Houston, TX. I owed about $3000 in deliquint taxes on my property but someone else paid the bill. I heard that I would have to pay them back the money plus 10% or they will have claim to my property. Is there any truth to this or will I have to pay them the $3000 plus 10% to get them out of my hair?

If someone else paid the bill then you owe them the money.
