What is the name of your state? I live in Louisiana. A standard real estate sales contract was signed between the seller and a buyer for a townhouse property. The property was for sale by owner. They are awaiting closing at the end of this month. Approximately 10 days after signing this agreement the seller, without the buyers permission, removed the front door and replaced it with a substantially inferior door. The buyer wants the original door returned. What legal recourse does the buyer have to force the seller to comply?
