My son talked me into leasing a restaurant through a real estate company because he has bad credit. I put all my money into this and even borrowed money on future child support from my ex-husband to get opened. Four days after we opened my son who is a chef told me he was going back to his old job and two days later he walked out on me. I talked to the landlord and she seemed to want to let me out of the lease, but after she talked to the real estate company, she told me they recommended not breaking the lease. I had to close down after less than a week because I couldn't afford to hire anyone to replace my son. The real estate company won't return my calls, so I went in to see them and also emailed them with no response. I have called the lawyer who drew up the lease and was also forming the L.L.C., but he won't take my calls and does not return my calls. Will I lose my house if they sue me and there is a judgement against me?
