What is the name of your state? Connecticut I am planning on purchasing the house I am currently living in from my parents. They own the house free and clear. I will not be getting a mortgage-I will be giving them a lump sum payment. My questions are as follows: 1. What kind of paperwork do I need to make this legal (to prove that it is mine and to get a home equity loan in the future). 2. If there is paperwork I need to have drawn up by an Attorney-please let me know the approximate cost.
Thanks in advance.
