What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? california.
I have a question, can a motel inkeeper, or owner, get you out by checkout time, even if you have resided and recieved mail at the motel address and room number? And, what procedure is required by law for them to evict.

Is this a regular hotel, or a residential hotel?

For a regular hotel, look up California Civil Code Section 1865. But the answer is generally yes, if the innkeeper needs the room for another guest, he can enter the room, gather up your stuff, and give the room to the new guest -- effectivlty evicting you.

If it's a residential hotel, then you are a tenant, just like any other tenant, and your eviction would be the same as being evicted from an apartment.

Some information on the differences can be found here: California Tenants - California Department of Consumer Affairs
