I reside in Florida. My personal residence is in my wife's and my name. I've heard it is a good and wise thing to protect oneself in case of a lawsuit by having their residence in a trust, rather than their names.
Could someone verify if this is, in fact, accurate? And, if so, the why's, and how's of accomplishing this.
Thank you!

Putting property in trust is easy and there are numerous types of trusts. Please consult with an estate/trust attorney.
