I am refinancing in Illinois. We signed our closing papers on Thursday 3/29. On Friday, 4/6, we got a call from the mortgage broker telling us they had calculated the monthly PMI payments incorrectly, and that they would now be $50 a month more than was stated on the documents we signed. They say they won't fund the loan until we sign a corrected statement. Do we have to do this or does the mortgage broker have to eat their mistake?
