Having just relocated to a small township outside a city, I have a question regarding chickens. Our yard is fenced in, yet the neighbors chickens, roosters and guinea hens are constantly in our yard. This would not be a problem, except they are defecating all over the yard. My 5 year old son plays back there, and is smeared with the stuff quite often. It is unhealthy! I have repeatedly asked the neighbors to keep their fowl(and foul!) in their own yard, but they ignore my requests. My question is, do I have any legal right to trap and relocate, or otherwise remove the birds from my yard? This seems my only recourse, but I do not want to do anything illegal. Please help! |
