I know they always say, "You can't fight City Hall", but thought I'd drop this question in to see if anything has changed since "they" said that.

Our subdivision is being threatened by our local Village government to install Water and Sewer service. Each lot is about one acre, so the high cost ($25k) would not be recouped by higher property values. Alternate drain fields have not yet been used, and there are no health problems with our well water. Surrounding subdivisions all have city water and sewer, so there are no discharges into the ground from septic systems other than from our own subdivision.

A petition has been signed and delivered where the vast majority of residents indicated they did not want water and sewer service installed, but these few village employees seem to have the power to do whatever they want, and have announced that they are proceeding with plans to install it this summer.

Is there ANYTHING AT ALL that can be done to stop them???
