State of Georgia, Tried to purchase land, asked for title insurance, agent said ok, spent 2 months tracking down dead and living owners in various states, still trying to get clear title, signed extention, selling parties now have various names and have gone to probate, tired of waiting, changed our minds, to risky and asked for deposite back. now we are being sued for breach of contrace and dammages. They say they will have clear title by the 26th of this month. We do not feel safe purchasing with all the names and parties involved. What should we do now.

Thanks, VWhat is the name of your state?

Have your contract reviewed by an attorney to determine if you are indeed in breach of contract.

There is title insurance to protect against coulded titles so this is not a valid reason for canceling the contract.
