co sign late on payments

What is the name of your state? south carolina

my sister has been constantly late on mortgage payments on a mobile home that i cosigned on. i have never been notified of the late payments by the mortgage company or my sister. she had moved out at one point and let her in laws move in. the mortgage company knew this and i did not. still, when payments were late, i was not notified. the loan was in the process of foreclosure and still, i had no knowledge. the original address on my loan application can still be used to contact me. do i have any rights against the mortgage company for never contacting me about late pays and the tenants that were not on the contract? also, i have never paid a singel payment on the mortgage and it is over ten years old

**A: you have absolutely no claim agaisnt the mortgage company. Read your mortgage document as there is a mortgagor joint and several liability clause.
Notice to one party constitutes notice to all parties.
