What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? michigan
I have a house that is in both mine and my mothers name she is living in it, my new wife has a house in her name she is letting her sister live in and her sister is aiming to buy in a yr. My question is if my wife and I move into the house me & mother have and I refi alone without my wife on mortgage that will release my mothers obligation, but-- if I do this before the sell of my wifes house, am I reliable for her house debt if her sister falls through, even though I am not on the title, but married. Also will the mortgage company look at her debt w/her house, even though I plan to refi without her name on it.
