deed to a condo

for home guro, when we went to settlement for the condo and for sale of my previous house my husband was present. i told the women who was filling out the paperwork that the condo was to be in my name only when i got the deed from the county it had husband and wife typed on it but my name is only on the deed. the registrar's office sent me a letter saying i should delete husband and wife from the deed or better still to re-record the deed to correct the name on deed. this was all done in 1996 can i just go and have deed re-recorded? my husband is in debt now on his own credit cards and i hope his creditors cannot put a lein on condo. please advise. this is in reply to your query. thank you.
