the deed has typed on it husband and wife but only has my name also typed on it, when we went to settlement the real estate person thought it was to jointly owned, when i told her that it was hust in my name thats how she did it. it is initialed by both of us. The registrar of deeds when sending me the deed wrote a letter suggesting i either delete husband and wife or re-record deed, do i need a lawyer to do so. where do i stand, my husband is badly in debt and i don't want to jeopradize my home for his credit card debts. please advise, thank you home guru.
