What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California
The LA County Tax Assessor's office uses the term "Owner" when filing a Declaration of Homestead. How is "Owner" defined in this declaration?

To declare the homestead, you must have an ownership interest (at least part ownership), reside there, and you and your spouse (if any) can not declare any other property as a homestead.
