We had a house built 06/99...We "upgraded" our carpet pad to 1/2"..After having a small mishap with our carpet...just for grins we measured the carpet pad...guess what.? It was only 1/4"... So we have made 17 payments on the extra money it cost to upgrade, but did not receive the wanted pad.(not to mention the interest paid on the extra amount!!!) What do we do now? What are we entitled to?

Send a certified letter to the installer of the problem and request that they inspect to verify. Aks for them to either credit you the difference between the 1/2" and 1/4" or replace the padding with the thicker contracted type.
