Question

I live in Placer County, CA. I own property with an easement road on the backside of my property that is used by 3 other homes for their sole access. For the last 4 years I have walked the length of this road for exercise.
A new neighbor moved in down the road(the first of the three homes) and is demanding that no one walk along their easement property! Keep in mind they drive on my easement property daily to get in and off their property!
From a legal sense, what are my rights and what would be the most appropriate way to handle these individuals?

If the easement is located on part of your property then legally the property is still yours. You just gave up rights to the other owners for their purposes of ingress/egress. You and they can not built on this easement but you can certainly walk in it since it is your legal property.

easement--road access

Thank you for your quick response to my question.
Is the entire road considered one entire easement? Do I have access to the entire road because part of it is on my property? This is what these individuals are arguing against. They feel I do not have access to their part of the road, since I don't need to use their part to get on or off my property.

Good question but I can not answer it without first reviewing all the legal documents.
You need to review the deeds, easement documents, title reports and surveys to find the answer.
