My husband signed a quitclaim in 1995 to the house he & ex had, however, the house was financed thru VA and his name was still on the deed. the ex refinanced the loan on the house in 2001 and husband regained his VA loan eligibility. should he have been entitled to proceeds from the refinancing; and, was he supposed to have signed any papers during this refinancing??

**A: that's because the QCD probably was not recorded yet.

the ex refinanced the loan on the house in 2001 and husband regained his VA loan eligibility.

**A: yes, that's the way it works on a VA loan.
*******

should he have been entitled to proceeds from the refinancing;

**A: no because he already deeded his property interest in 1995.
*********
and, was he supposed to have signed any papers during this refinancing??

**A: no, because he has nothing to do with the refinancing. He is out of the picture. So move on.
