Florida Condo Association Real Estate

I have recently closed on a condo I had on the market in Deerfield Beach, Florida. The condo Association assessed legal fees for letters sent to me concerning the removal of a family pet from the home. Can the association get a lien on the property for this type of legal fees and call it condo association and attorney fees on the closing papers when there are no association fees due. What recourse do I have.

The President of the Association made a statement to a friend of the family and said that he would get her out of here.
