Florida real estate disclosuresWhat is the name of your state? Florida We signed a contract for the purchase of our home on April 20, 2004, in Florida. At the time the property behind the home was a large wooded lot. We returned to New Jersey until the closing, which was July 15th. Upon returning to the property, we found the lot had been cleared and two schools being built. We had no recourse but to continue with the purchase. The question is, did the seller, her agent or my agent have to disclose this fact to us before signing the closing papers? No one said a word, and I am wondering if I have any recourse. Thank you |

mzspyderAll my agent told me at the walk-through was that she didn't know about it. I spoke to other neighbors and they were informed via mail about the school going up well before we signed the contract. A school just doesn't happen....the plans for the land use had to be public knowledge well prior to the groundbreaking I would think. |
