What is the name of your state? MN. A friend is forced by court and x-wife to have his house sold for him. He has no say in matter. Credit score will not allow him to re-fi at this time. Judgment in divorce was for 30,000 to the ex. Paid 14,000 and now she wants it all now! The court has appointed a lawyer to sell his house even though he and his minor son will have no where to live. He has asked us to help with the re-fi. Is this a situation we want to put ourselves into? Other than the mortgage payments, is there any thing we might be overlooking?? If the court sells, does he see any money? the difference between what is owed and the selling price?

Thank you

**A: either stay out of it unless you can buy the property and rent it to your friend doing everything on a strictly business level.
