What is the name of your state? Michigan.

Home was sold "back" to mortgage company at sheriff sale, right of redemption period is 6 months. The loan is FHA. We may have some possible solutions, however at the end of six months will they evict us the day after six months is over, or will they have to file eviction papers??

**A: once the foreclosure sale has closed and the deed transferred, you would no longer be the owner of the property. Therefore all the mortgage lender/property owner would need to do would be to serve you with a trespassing notice and kick you out immediately.
You have no tenant rights. Even if you have right of redemption rights, that is entirely separate from tenancy and occupancy rights.
