I am so confused. I live in PA and was flooded out of my house in June of 2001. The money that we would have used on the mortgage we ended up using to fix up our house, as FEMA would only give us $11,000 for $50,000 worth of damage. we had been trying to work with the mortgage company on making some sort of payment arraingement or even deferring the payments, but they don't want to hear of the disaster, they want their money.

I did notice that they kept my deceased Father's name on the property. My Question is can they foreclose on a property that is owned both by a deceased person and a living person? And if so, what options do I have at this present time to stop the forelosure that will happen on February 27th? Keep in mind, I can't get a loan, as my credit is shot as well as my mom's.
