Hello, I hired a management company to manage my condo and collect my rent. I ended up losing the condo to foreclosure. The foreclosures date was on March 14th I cancelled my contract with the Management company on on Feb 10 and the last day of their contract with me with a 30 day notice was on March 10. The tenants paid them the rent on March 1st and now the management company that I hired is refusing to forward me the rent for March and any deposits I had on their account for repairs. They state that they talked to the bank and the bank is saying no to forward me the rent for March. The condo was still legally mine on March 1st the date the rent was due. Can the management company legally withhold my rent for this month. I don't see how it's any of there business and I hired them had I not hired them I would have collected the rent for March myself. Do I have a small claims case against the management company for March rent and deposits from my account? Thank you.
